Parents see a significant impact on their child’s literacy skills with Poio

A study with parents who have used Poio with their children reveals that 85% of them see a significant impact on their child’s literacy skills.

The study conducted in Norway, October 2017, only three months after the first launch of the learn-to-read app, reveals some particularly positive statistics.

Carried out as an online web survey, the study had 662 responses from parents whose children have been playing Poio. The majority of the children were between four and six years old.

Educational value
85%
of parents reported that they have seen a significant impact on their child’s literacy skills.

Most of the 15% who answered differently wrote that they hadn’t been playing for long enough to see a difference yet. Other reasons were that the child already knew most of what Poio is teaching, or that the child wasn’t interested enough for the game to be of much educational value.

Would recommend the game
When asked if they would recommend the Poio app to others, 94% of parents said that they would.

The remaining 6% who answered that they would not typically wrote that the game is too expensive for them to feel comfortable recommending it, or that they haven’t seen the desired learning effects yet.
